Lord Parshwanatha-23rd Tirthankara
in Jainism
Located inside of Jam Prarthana Mandir, Vepery. According to Jam
scriptures the color of’ God was green. So in order to have
a special idol made, quartz was selected from the Chellur mines
near Tumkur, Karnataka. The idol was made with tools used for cutting
precious stones like diamonds. The main prayer hail has exquisite
glass work, a rare sight in South India.

is called “Theet thankaras” the 18th on the line was
Mahaveer. He preached non-violence and urged his disciples to possess
noble ideals the symbol of this sect is swastik. This temple l is

Temple is a two-tier structure with a beautiful sprawling campus.
It was , consecrated in 1994 and the chief deities are Shree Parshwanath
Bhagwan (23rd Jain Teerthankar on the first floor in all 4 directions
(Chowmukhi) and Guruder Yogiraj Shantisureeshwarji on the ground
floor and mainly constructed to promote devotion in the young students
of Jain Vidyalaya & women’s college run by the same founders
and in the same campus. Worship by visitors on all week days from
10 am, to 12.30 p.m. & 5 p.m to 9 p.m. In holidays from 8.30
am, to 12.30 p.m. & 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. However, Photography is
